1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our services, you agree to these terms. The Service is only available to users 18 or older seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic principles.
2. User Conduct
Maintain Islamic principles, provide accurate information, use respectful communication, and avoid misrepresentation or harassment. Violations may result in account termination.
3. Account Security
Maintain login confidentiality, avoid sharing access, report unauthorized access, update passwords regularly, and ensure secure device usage.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
Premium subscriptions are billed automatically. Email credits are non-refundable once purchased. All payments are final and processed securely through trusted payment providers.
4a. Provider Readiness Gift
Provider Readiness Gift lets brothers send a voluntary hibah (gift) with serious interest—it is not mahr, not wages, and creates no obligation to match or marry. Brothers choose the amount (minimum applies). At checkout, payment is split: a platform fee (10%) to Halal Matchmaking and the remainder to the sister's Paystack subaccount; Paystack collection fees are deducted from the sister's share. Sisters must save verified Nigerian bank details and accept these terms before receiving gifts. Funds settle to the sister's bank on Paystack's schedule. There is no accept/reject step and no refund to the brother after payment. Recipients are solely responsible for any local tax on gifts received. Availability varies by country.
5. Email Services
Email credits allow anonymous communication. Your email address is not revealed to recipients. We reserve the right to monitor communications for safety and compliance.
6. Advertising & Promotional Emails
By using our service, you may receive promotional emails from our partners, sponsors, and advertisers. These emails help support our free service and may include special offers, events, or relevant products. You can opt-out of promotional emails at any time through your account settings.
7. Refund Policy
No refunds are provided for email credits, subscription fees, or other paid services. Credits expire according to our expiration policy. Exceptions may apply for technical issues.
8. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify services, update terms, implement features, and adjust pricing. Users will be notified of significant changes.
9. Termination
Access may be terminated immediately for terms violation, inappropriate behavior, fraud, or multiple accounts. No refunds provided upon termination.
10. Dating Service Disclaimers
We provide a platform for users to connect but cannot guarantee successful matches, relationships, or marriages. Users are responsible for their own safety, decisions, and interactions. We do not conduct background checks on users and cannot verify the accuracy of profile information.
11. Safety & Meeting Disclaimers
When meeting someone in person: meet in public places, inform friends/family of your plans, trust your instincts, and report suspicious behavior. We are not responsible for user safety during in-person meetings or any harm that may occur.
12. User Verification Disclaimers
We do not verify user identities, backgrounds, criminal records, or marital status. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence. We cannot guarantee that users are who they claim to be or that their information is accurate.
13. Financial & Legal Disclaimers
We are not responsible for financial losses, scams, fraud, or legal issues between users. Users should be cautious of requests for money, gifts, or financial assistance. We do not provide legal, financial, or relationship advice.
14. Service Availability Disclaimers
While we maintain a safe community, we cannot guarantee user information accuracy, matching success, uninterrupted service, or universal device compatibility. Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

At Halal Matchmaking, we are committed to maintaining a safe environment and protecting children from exploitation. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form.
