Client confidentiality agreement with Halal Match (Halal Matchmaking Ltd).
1. Agreement
As a user of Halal Match (operated by Halal Matchmaking Ltd), you agree to the confidentiality obligations in this Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This NDA forms part of our Terms of Service. Using the service means you accept these obligations.
2. Confidential Information
Confidential Information includes personal data and content you receive through Halal Match about other users—such as profiles, photos, bios, location or background details, chat or email messages, phone numbers or contact details, voice notes, and any other information shared in the course of evaluating matches or communicating. It also includes non-public information about Halal Match’s operations that is not already public.
3. Permitted Use
You may use Confidential Information only to evaluate potential matches, communicate respectfully about marriage intentions, and decide whether to continue a conversation or relationship. You may not use it for marketing, scraping, doxxing, blackmail, identity fraud, or any other purpose unrelated to sincere marriage-seeking on the platform.
4. No Unauthorized Sharing
You will not share Confidential Information—especially photos, phone numbers, addresses, messages, or identifying details—with any other person, group, organization, website, app, or social media without prior written consent from Halal Matchmaking Ltd, or clear affirmative consent from the person the information belongs to. Family or trusted advisors may be involved in marriage discussions only with care, and only information that person has agreed (or would reasonably expect) to share for that purpose.
5. Security
You will take reasonable steps to keep Confidential Information secure on your devices and accounts—use strong authentication where available, avoid shared or public devices when viewing matches, and do not leave chats or profiles visible to others. Report suspected account compromise to support promptly.
6. Dignity and Trust
You will treat other users with respect and sincerity. You will not exploit, pressure, or misuse shared information for personal gain, revenge, gossip, or public humiliation. Protect the dignity and reputation of people you meet through Halal Match.
7. Screenshots and Recordings
You will not screenshot, record, download, or otherwise capture another user’s photos, messages, or profile content for sharing or storage outside normal private use of the app, without authorization from Halal Matchmaking Ltd or the other user’s clear consent. Exception: you may capture limited material solely to report safety, harassment, fraud, or illegal activity to Halal Match support or to law enforcement as required by law.
8. Harassment and Safety
You will not harass, threaten, stalk, or engage in inappropriate or abusive behavior toward other users. Compromising another person’s safety or well-being—online or offline—using information obtained through Halal Match is a serious violation of this NDA and our Terms.
9. Exceptions
These obligations do not apply to information that is publicly available through no fault of yours, that you already knew lawfully before receiving it through Halal Match, that you independently develop without using Confidential Information, or that you are required to disclose by law, court order, or regulator (in which case you should notify us if legally allowed, and disclose only what is required).
10. Consequences
Breach of this NDA may result in immediate suspension or termination of your Halal Match access without refund where permitted by law, and you may be held responsible for damages caused by unauthorized disclosure or misuse. We may also report serious misconduct to authorities when appropriate.
11. Survival
Your confidentiality obligations continue after you cancel a subscription, delete your account, or stop using Halal Match, for as long as the information remains confidential or as long as applicable law requires.
12. Governing Law
This Non-Disclosure Agreement is governed by the laws of Nigeria and forms an integral part of the Halal Match Terms of Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
